Mrs. Dorothy “Nettie” Bradley was born October 10, 1929. She was a life long resident of Bay St. Louis. Dorothy passed away Friday, April 30, 2010 in Biloxi.

Dorothy attended St. Rose de Lima School and graduated in the class of 1948. She attended Xavier University in New Orleans. She retired in 1987, after 28 years teaching at St. Rose later named Bay Catholic Elementary. She worked with the Catholic Diocese of Natchez ­ Jackson and Biloxi, the SVD pastors, and the Holy Spirit Missionary Sisters.

Nettie is preceded in death by her husband, Lionel; her parents, Albert and Emily Smith; a brother, Albert “Buddy” Smith; a sister, Clementine “Clem” Curry; and grandson, Bryson Bradley.

She leaves to mourn her passing, seven children: Lonnie (Adrienne), Rickie, Yolande, Gisele, Deirdre of BSL, Kimberly and Melissa of Waveland. She also leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Mrs. Irene Fenner, a brother-in-law, Leslie Curry of Missouri; 13 grand and great-grandchildren – Rebecca (Jade, Kayla and Reina) of Georgia, Monique (Dallayna and Markeyse) of Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Lonnie, Jr. (Maloni and Tyler), Jermaine, Sharmaine Rieux/Jason, (Jordyn and Jason), Courtney Rieux of Hattiesburg, Kelvin/Delilah – (Matthew and Payton), Ronald (Jasmine, Cameron, Alex and Rhea), Lionel Bradley, Rodney/Yolanda (Ambria, Xavier Ayden), Nathan/Precious (Zayda), Tenille Farmer, Kavonna Bradley; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and her special caregivers, Nellie Bell and Elaine Parker and Rickey Lyons.

Rev. Sabastian Myladiyil, SVD will serve as celebrant.
